1. Ruin car.
2. Laid off from work.
3. Chiropractor cancels my appointment on the only day I could see him before work-insurance ran out.
WTF.
Okay, I said I wasn’t going to write about my car anymore. I’m not, not really. I’m writing about my Mom’s car. Before any of you ‘tards comment: No, I did not crash it. I didn’t end up in the ditch or anything horrible. I got to work fine, with a small mishap.
It’s called “Getting out of the driveway.” Shut up and don’t laugh. I’m a perfectly capable driver, but right now I’m a capable driver who has nerves of spaghetti and I knew today was going to be all sorts of problems!
Okay, enough about my car. I can’t change what happened there, and really, there’s more important things to consider. For example: Political Correctness. I think that people should have tolerance for each other, definitely. I don’t think we should do things deliberately to offend people, certainly. I also don’t think I should be forced to hide my beliefs in order to not offend someone, either.
I work in customer service, and I hate that I can’t wish people a Merry Christmas because it may offend someone. I also can’t wish them a Happy Hanukah (spelling check pls?) or anything else. I’m not even allowed to say “Happy Holidays” in case the person might not have a holiday. What next? Will I be denied the right to say “Have a nice weekend” to someone in case it’s not their weekend?
I remember being so excited about this car. The AC worked, it smelled brand new, was clean as clean can be, was in perfect condition. It even had a nice little thingie on the keychain so I never had to worry about frozen locks ever again.
I will miss you, car
