Ok, I’m ANGRY again!

This will seem trivial in comparison to the grief the Virk family is going through. I must warn you before you click MORE than when I read this story the first time around I spent weeks (yes, weeks) so emotionally disturbed that every time this thought came to mind I wanted to cry, vomit, and cry more. I couldn’t sleep and the thought came to mind very very very very very often. Every time I looked at my own cats. Read at your own risk.

A more serious (and important) Epiphany

Every day we are, as a people, bombarded with news by the media. The media assaults us through the radio, television, print (magazines and newspapers) internet and now even through our cell phones via SMS updates. The vast majority of news is tragic, scandalous and demoralizing because that is what garners attention; unlike the true stories of joy and happiness.

Today, in the wake of news so horrible and painful, I am reminded of a story I read sometime within the last year. It is a story of beauty born of tragedy and today, it leaves me with mixed emotions of anger and weariness.

Epiphanies are Fun!

I made a discovery last night – altogether surprising, completely unexpected. This wonderous discovery came to light half way through the Eredar Twins fight in Sunwell Plateau. Actually, I had three random epiphanies, and they’re all below the cut.

Mouseover Healing: The best way (IMO) to heal

When I was level 45, a kind undead priest in my raiding coalition casually asked me if I knew how to mouseover heal. I answered with an intelligent ‘Wut?’ and he advised me that all of the best healers he has ever known use mouseover healing. Now, to a large extent I find that’s true. The best healers do trend towards mouseover healing, though I know some phenomenal ones who don’t use it and still manage to kick my ass on the healing meters. I choose to blame it on latency, because God knows I’m way TOO AWESOME to suck at something. Ahem.

I’m no pro. I’m a lolnub macro writer (i.e. /cast spell(rank #) is my best macro) and I’m confessing to be a clicker. I look at my boyfriend’s interface and besides being cluttered, I see all these keybindings and I go wtf? How do you manage to use your F# keys? I can barely click 1 to =. But with all that aside, I’m told that learning to mouseover is handy so here you go, an article by moi.

A first post

This is a first post. Mostly to see myself talk, and second to have something on the page so I can see how it displays. I thought I’d write something witty but that requires too much intelligence.
